OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Team Lead, Collection will be responsible for the supervision and development of a team of Collection Representatives, responsible for the collection of a portfolio of major customer accounts and assist the Accounts Receivable Supervisor with all day to day operations.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER:
- Oversee the accounts receivable team and assist the supervisor with all department collection, deduction, and credit processes;
- Manage an assigned account receivable portfolio, perform all the necessary followups, and resolve payment discrepancies and claims in a timely manner;
- Identify problematic accounts and propose remedial action plans;
- Review all department credit holds and release and/or make recommendations;
- Provide extensive analysis on deductions management and reconciliation of accounts;
- Support and provide coaching to the team with all day to day tasks.
- Participate in the achievement of objectives and continuous improvement of the department;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- University degree in finance or other relevant field or equivalent experience;
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar position;
- High level of precision, organizational, analytical and decisionmaking skills, selfmotivation and initiative;
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities;
- Results and teamwork oriented;
- Knowledge of credit, collection, and deduction practices;
- Knowledge of AS/400 is an asset;
- Excellent proficiency in Excel and Office suite;
- Bilingualism (French and English) spoken and written is essential.
