Minimum Requirements:

  • One to four years of experience
  • Able to advise business leaders and provide guidance to more junior Supply Chain Management (SCM) staff
  • Demonstrates skill in a variety of Supply Chain competencies related to Procurement, Contract Management and Supplier Analysis/Selection as well as Planning, Scheduling and Coordinating
  • Displays a combination of professional and technical knowledge related to Supply Chain Management (SCM) practices and processes, training, preparation and practical experience
  • Postsecondary Business or Supply Chain background

Responsibilities:


  • Maintains and manages entire lifecycle of purchase orders and other basic procurement documentation
  • Assesses risks, identifies trends and opportunities, and makes recommendations for improving procurement processes, policies and procedures
  • Meets the demands of multiple clients including external stakeholders
  • Ensures all procurement activities are aligned with the purchasing strategy and procurement plan
  • Creates individual annual objectives, measures, and performance targets aligned with the overall Procurement Team and the SCM functions' performance targets
  • Displays a combination of professional and technical knowledge related to Supply Chain Management practices and processes; a combination of training/ preparation and practical experience
  • Defines priorities and ensures alignment with overall objectives
  • Determines course of action as per procedural guidelines and contracts
  • Interacts with members of the Organization that are at a senior level and makes recommendations for operational improvements

Location and other Key Details:

  • This position will be based at the Fort McMurray Base Plant
  • Hours of work are a regular 40hour work week, Monday to Friday
