Claims Coordinator

**Description: - Permanent Full Time- Reporting to the Team Lead Claims Coordination, you will be responsible for timely clerical and administrative support for the Individual Life Claims Department.
Accountabilities

  • Set up of new claims and ensuring appropriate life coverage is terminated for Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life insurance claims by updating the appropriate systems; 1B15, FM and Ingenium
  • Ordering client files from RAM centre
  • Opening, sorting and matching of post office, servicing offices and courier mail to claim files
  • Monitor and manage claims shared mailboxes
  • Reroute mail received in error
  • Sorting of system output and matching to files
  • Liaise with other departments to gain and provide information
  • Regular updating of information in the tracking system for paid claims, boxing of claim files for RAM centre
  • Sorting, matching and mailing of outgoing claims cheques
  • Print and distribute weekly followup reports matching to the claims files
  • Filing of pending and paid claim files

Competencies and Behaviours

  • Knowledge of FM/IMS, 1B15, Ingenium, PalIm Vector, Corporate Client, Keymaster, OmniRim,
  • Outlook would be an asset
  • Proven organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple changing
- priorities and fluctuating work volumes to achieve daily deadlines

  • Selfmotivated and ability to learn quickly
  • Effective communication skills to work with a team of 12 people
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work independently
  • Analytical ability — uses acquired knowledge of systems and business to solve routine problems
  • Focus on quality and attention to detail


  • Bilingualism

  • French and English
  • Workstyle: 4 days in office 1 day remote
  • The base salary for this position is between
    $33,000:
  • $44,700** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
