Regulatory Affairs Part Time Faculty Postings
This is a part-time professor position requiring the incumbent to deliver one or more 42-56-hour courses to diverse students in the Regulatory Affairs Graduate Certificate Program.
Subject matter expertise in at least one of the following areas:
- RGL7200
- Regulation Design
- SCI7100
- Science & Risk Assessment in Regulation
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals with expertise in Regulatory Affairs and a willingness to expand your skills as an educator to facilitate learning in the classroom.

Required Qualifications- Minimum Bachelor's degree in area of Technical communications, Sciences, Political Science, Pharmacology, Manufacturing or similar area of study;- Minimum five (5) years related work experience;- Must be available to teach in Pembroke, Ontario;- Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a postsecondary setting is an asset;- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of educational technologies; experience is an asset;- Demonstrated knowledge in the development and delivery of hybrid and online curriculum is considered an asset;- Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills; Evidence of commitment to the success of all learners is an asset.

Qualifications:
Current or formal public servant experience in multiple agencies would be an asset.
Experience to tie concepts back to the theory on design of regulations and associated government tools like regulatory documents, administrative penalties, etc.

Course Description:
Describe the role of risk assessment in risk management and regulatory decisions. Summarize how scientific data are used to assess risk in various industries.
Explain the use of standardized approaches such as Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in order to ensure the independence and rigour of company-generated data.
Recommend the appropriate data for risk assessment in different regulatory contexts. Discuss the validity of a claim given the supporting scientific data. Locate quality sources for regulatory information. Evaluate the quality and credibility of sources.Qualifications:
Background in a field where standardized risk assessment is a component of the work. Technical specialist in hazardous chemicals/radiation/physical stressors in the environment. Has conducted or contributed a documented risk assessment for regulatory purposes. Has knowledge of the general history of risk assessment in modern western society, and perhaps through civilizational history. Real world experience with disaster and risk assessments done before a disaster event occurred would be an asset.
