Analyst, Sales


Overview:


The Analyst, Sales position is part of the central North America Strategy and Operations team and partners with specific Customer Account Management (CAM) teams.

The open role will support Mastercard merchant teams in Canada specifically and North America generally.

The Analyst will:
(1) work with CAM leaders and team to support and execute financial, operating, and business objectives, (2) provide support to the account teams through analysis, research, and deal support, (3) Drive Sales Excellence by improving our business processes (e.g., Reporting, Deal Process, Business Reviews, etc.), (4) Driving strategic priorities and work on documentation and implementation of strategy for the segment, (5) support strategic priorities for the Canada and North America regions.


The Analyst will also help share best practices and drive standard methodologies across the Merchant team as well as the overall Strategy and Operations team.


Role:

Enable business growth:

  • Support Canada Merchant account teams on key objectives, analysis, reporting needs, and strategy.
  • Interact regularly with the account teams to understand the specific needs and help support the business.
  • Investigate and explore opportunities to grow acceptance, based on customer performance tracking and Account Manager input
  • Work with Account Managers, Finance, and other partners to develop financial modeling and business cases to support opportunities and RFPs
  • Drive consistency across the account team through things like pipeline management, account optimization, etc.
  • Work on overall strategic projects for the North America region.

  • Passion for Mastercard and working in a datadriven, salesfocused environment to improve results.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong technical skills: knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, Excelbased models and database querying with SQL and pandas.
  • Strong analytical skills: aptitude for working with financial information and operational data
  • Experience with developing business cases & strategic analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with account team and across multiple functions; role has high exposure to a wide range of senior partners. Must be strong team player.
  • Strong communication skills
; able to balance command of the details with ability to deliver clear, concise summary

  • Selfmotivated with a proven track record of delivering multiple projects within a team environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Preferred majors include Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering but open to other areas
