Description

Position Summary 3D BioFibR is seeking an entry-level full-time life-science analyst in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to support our Business Development team. The analyst will review life-science companies, technologies and market, synthesize key concepts in emerging areas of tissue engineering, and combine business acumen and scientific insights to support our growing biomaterials business. Start date is negotiable but is anticipated to be in Q1 2023.


Responsibilities

  • Source, review, and manage scientific, clinical, commercial, sales, patent, financial and other data pertaining to the life science & tissueengineering industry;
  • Research of technical literature and market reports to identify new business opportunities;
  • Preparation of written, oral, and visual presentations to summarize and communicate technical information regarding potential partners, technical projects, and market challenges;
  • Development of outreach materials for potential investors, partners, and customers, for review by senior staff;
  • Attendance at investment and medical industry events may be required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in life sciences or medical sciences with a strong interdisciplinary background;
  • Familiarity with the key tissue engineering concepts, including the importance of biomaterials;
  • Work experience in healthcare, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry an asset;
  • Strong ability to approach new areas of science, learn key concepts quickly, and effectively synthesize ideas;
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information effectively, in a variety of mediums including written and slideshow presentations;
  • Interest in learning the business of science;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Effective time management skills to facilitate the timely completion of multiple projects;
  • Selfmotivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of crossfunctional teams;
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

Salary:
$45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
