    Description

    Key Accountabilities & Responsibility

    · Key requirements of the role will include:

    ·Collaborate and influence the Metrolinx OnCorr client team to implement and maintain program, systems, and procedures to achieve cross contract area transformational HSW practice

    ·Advises the MCS Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing on strategic HSW matters

    ·To champion occupational health and safety initiatives and drive their implementation

    ·Collaborate and advise the client and stakeholders on strategic matters of HSW

    ·Supporting and driving a dynamic lessons learnt and business improvement process for HSW across the program

    ·Produce required reports and input data (would like to discuss reporting protocols and potential admin assistance for data input and development of reports)

    ·Assure the delivery of HSW initiatives

    ·Develop training / presentations / briefing packages and deliver to appropriate target audience based on their role / responsibilities within the program

    ·Providing support to all OnCorr teams and Contractors to resolve any HSW Technical and process issues may arise

    ·Works with respective functional managers for development of risk profile and strategies for mitigation

    Technical Competencies Required

    The key technical competencies required to perform the role well are outlined below.

    ·Technical knowledge and extensive experience in safety systems and railway programs

    ·Technical knowledge and experience in Safety Systems Management and Auditing (i.e. ISO 45001)

    ·Accident/Incident analysis methods expertise

    ·Experience in developing and embedding health, safety & wellbeing management systems

    ·Working knowledge of Canada Labour Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, CROR and other relevant Federal and Provincial/States Health & Safety legislation

    ·Working knowledge of OHS policies, standards, legislation, and procedures pertaining to the industry.

    ·Knowledge of the regional politic, economic, social and security context

    Key Experience/Other Mandatory Attainments

    The key technical competencies required to perform the role well are outlined below.

    ·Health & Safety related degree or equivalent

    ·Experience in large scale program delivery

    ·Developing HSW integrated management systems

    ·Rail and infrastructure delivery experience
