What YOU Will Do


To manage the accounting, reporting and financing obligations for our broad portfolio of projects including design/build/finance (DBF), design/build/finance/maintain (DBFM) and operating assets, you will be part of the Asset and Financial Management team within Pomerleau Capital.

This role is expected to be involved in two (2) of our largest design-build-finance ("DBF") projects under construction. You will report directly to the Senior Manager Finance.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage communications and liaison with the designbuilder and the lenders to the project;
  • Manage the project financing including, but not limited to:
  • Prepare draw requests against cash flow, financial model and schedule progress to ensure accurate alignment;
  • Reconcile and track variance of bid/development budget and schedule, including contingencies and liquidated damages;
  • Draft monthly legal documents (exhibits) provided to the lenders and their advisors (technical, legal, etc.);
  • Communicate with designbuilder, administrative agent, collateral agent, trustee, etc. as required;
  • Communicate with designbuilder, lenders technical advisor, independent certifier, administrative agent and lenders to meet our various contractual reporting obligations, draws, repayment, claims and waivers.
  • Provide accounting and administrative services including treatment of accounts payables and receivables;
  • Provide specific financial reports and reconciliations;
  • Produce financial statements;
  • Followup & Prepare tax claims and liaison with provincial and federal revenue agencies;
  • Manage the audit process including interaction with external auditors;
  • Prepare tax documentation and interact with tax authorities; and
  • Perform additional duties as required to insure timely flow of funds and compliant reporting under all project agreements.

What YOU Will Bring

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting and/or financial reporting in the construction industry, real estate development or related industry;
  • Accounting or Financial educational background;
  • Bilingual in French and English;
  • CPA is considered an asset;
  • Strong business acumen;
  • Ability to understand and manage contractual agreements including, but not limited, to
  • Project Agreements, Credit Agreements, etc.
  • Able to work independently with mínimal supervision;
  • Relationshipbuilding skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and other project specific team members including Lenders and Technical Advisors;
  • A team player who can work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, cope with changing priorities;
  • Selfmotivated with a positive attitude;
  • Minimal travel (approx. 10%) may be required to the project sites within Canada.
