The Ottawa Professional Women's Hockey League is seeking an experienced and passionate individual for the Video Coach position for the 2025 Hockey Season.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Break down upcoming opponent strength and tendencies thru their lines, players and systems in a written report.
  • Build up video pre scout for coaches, power play, penalty killing, systems, lines and special players.
  • Set up video for game analysis, video replay, get video feed and ipad for benches
  • Record and tag game live for in period review and post game review.
  • Post game tagging of lines and getting shifts to players for their review
  • Post game review of items needed by coaches for post game video meeting with players
  • Get clips of special items for review
  • Download games to coaches laptops
  • Set up for pre game and post game meetings at arena and hotels (projector, screen and/or TV)
  • Video for practice if needed (onice or office)
  • All other related duties as assigned by the Head Coach and General Manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


  • Previous experience as a Video Coach for a professional hockey team
  • Knowledge of catapult is a must; sport logic knowledge is also desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative
  • Supports diversity and respect in the workplace and community; and
  • Ability to act with patience and diplomacy and foster a cooperative team environment.

  • Must be able to attend all practices and games from November to May.
  • Must be able to travel to all games during the season
