  • Scheduling and Preparing CAB Meetings:
  • The Change Manager is responsible for scheduling regular CAB meetings and ensuring that all relevant stakeholders, including representatives from IT, business units, and other relevant departments, are invited.
  • They should also prepare an agenda for the meeting, including a list of proposed changes to be reviewed.

Meeting Facilitation:
The primary responsibility of the Change Manager is to organize and facilitate CAB meetings.

  • This involves setting meeting agendas, scheduling sessions, inviting relevant stakeholders, and ensuring that meetings are productive and timebound.
  • Change Evaluation: The Change Manager reviews and assesses change requests before presenting them to the CAB.
  • This evaluation involves checking for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to the defined change management process.
  • Impact Analysis and Expert Input:
  • This input helps the CAB make well-informed decisions.
  • Documentation and Communication: The Change Manager is responsible for documenting all details related to the proposed changes, including potential risks and benefits.
  • They ensure that this information is communicated to CAB members and other stakeholders before the meeting & after each CAB meeting, the Change Manager is responsible for documenting the decisions made, including reasons for approvals, rejections, or deferrals.
  • They ensure these decisions are communicated to all relevant stakeholders, including the Change Initiators.
  • Continuous Improvement: The Change Manager plays a part in evaluating the effectiveness of the change management process and CAB meetings.
  • They identify areas for improvement and work towards optimizing the process to enhance its efficiency and effectiveness.
