- An undergraduate degree with a specialization in early childhood development or an undergraduate degree and a two year diploma in Early Childhood Education (uploaded to resume)
- Level 3 ECE classification (uploaded to resume)
- Recent experience (within past 5 years) working with pre-school children
- First Aid Certification is required (a copy of the certification needs to be uploaded with the resume)
- Training and/or experience in a play based learning environment is an asset
- Experience in a leadership role in an early learning environment is an asset

The Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is inviting qualified Early Childhood Educators to express their interest in consideration for a Lead Early Childhood Educator position with the Pre-Primary Program for the school year. Term and Permanent positions will be available.

Lead Early Childhood Educators are members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 5047 (CUPE) and work 35 hours per week. The annual salary is $50,391.33 paid across 12 months for working a 10 month school year. In addition, the HRCE offers a comprehensive pension and benefit package.
