REPORTING TO:
Corporate Controller

***: Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Mandarin Speaking Corporate Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing functions for the Company and its subsidiaries. The role develops, implements and evaluates the procurement framework to optimize purchasing processes in finding cost effective solutions for the company's business.


KEY RESPONSIBILITUES:


  • Plans for, and purchases supplies, repairs and maintenance items at the best price possible
  • Capital project management
  • Conducts regular market survey pricing of all items and services for Company's business operations
  • Reviews proposals, negotiates contracts for best product/service at the best price at the right time
  • Maintains effective relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Ensures all purchase order requests are properly completed for approval before a purchase order is prepared and items are purchased
  • Maintains all documents and files for purchases made and suppliers used
  • Monitors the purchasing control procedures
  • Analyzes and implements purchasing processes and delivery systems
  • Prepares reports, data analytics, metrics
  • Follows departmental policies and procedures, recommend improvements as needed
  • Organizes regular count of storeroom inventories
  • Seeks and develops purchasing strategies to identify cost savings opportunities
  • Provides professional and friendly service to both internal and external customers
  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in hospitality, food & beverage, or similar industries
  • SCMPor equivalent designation or education/training background
  • Experience in budgeting
  • Knowledge of supplychain management and logistics
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resourceful
  • Experience in implementing and using a computerized procurement related systems
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, interpretation, and negotiating skills required to develop contracts and evaluate vendors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to exercise considerable independence of action and judgement in all aspects of purchasing and a high degree of accountability.
  • Ability to provide customer service effectively
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Strong professional and work ethics, selfmotivated, accountable and results oriented.
  • Willing to travel overseas if required, Mandarin speaking will be an asset

Salary:
$58,949.39-$70,000.00 per year

Resort Purchasing: 2 years (preferred)

  • Negotiation: 3 years (preferred)
  • International buyer: 3 years (preferred)
  • Contract preparation: 3 years (preferred)

Language:


  • Mandarin (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
