We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager to lead the ongoing development and execution of strategic projects across a portfolio which includes Outpatient and Virtual Care strategies, the Joint Department of Medical Imaging, and the Laboratory Medicine Program.
The Manager will oversee daily operations of the Office of Strategy Management, including financial planning, monitoring progress, and ensuring a high degree of quality to drive organizational priorities.
Duties
- Plan and develop all aspects of assigned projects across JDMI, LMP, Outpatient Care and Virtual Care strategies, including participation in defining and developing methodology to ensure successful program planning; operational planning; strategic planning; change management
- Gather and analyze relevant data to inform datadriven decisionmaking and establish performance measures to evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented strategies
- Manage human resources, including hiring, performance management, and professional development of a team of ~10 staff
- Manage external/provincial projects (as determined)
- Manage the unit/department financial resources
- Perform corporate management responsibilities that support and advance UHN's goals
- Oversee quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to established standards and patient experience goals
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required
- 35 years managing a team required
- 3 years health care industry experience required
- Strong project management skills, with experience in managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong understanding of outpatient and virtual care practices and trends
- Excellent relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
