    The Role

    Reporting to the Team Leader, Talent Acquisition, this position will primarily be responsible for supporting the full cycle recruitment process including posting, screening, interviewing, job offer process, closing and administrative components. This position will also partner with the Team Leader, Talent Acquisition to understand and plan for current and future hiring needs. Success in this role will be measured through service levels provided to stakeholders and various talent acquisition metrics.

    This position will also proactively support the HR team in a variety of HR related duties and administrative tasks to drive employee experience.

    End to End Talent Acquisition Process

  • Directly service full cycle recruitment needs for positions at select levels across the organization including
  • Develop internal and external job postings
  • Screen candidates (resume, telephone screening and in person interviews) to assess for core competencies to job requirements and MCAP culture
  • Prepare a short list of candidates and prepare candidate summaries for the hiring manager
  • Coordinate the selection process including interviews, testing, and reference checks
  • Coordinate background checks and the preparation of the offer of employment
  • Partner with the Team Leader, Talent Acquisition to facilitate the final decision and presentation of the offer to the candidate and work with the hiring manager in preparation for orientation
  • Partner with the Team Leader, Talent Acquisition to manage external partnerships with recruitment agencies and vendors
  • Partner with the Team Leader, Talent Acquisition to enhance presence at colleges and universities and implement co-op programs and recruitment of graduates for full-time or trainee roles.
  • Follow-up and provide feedback in a timely manner to create a positive candidate experience
  • Partner with the Team Leader, Talent Acquisition to create efficiencies with our talent acquisition process (stakeholder satisfaction surveys, sourcing options, candidate assessments, applicant tracking system)
  • Maintain a superior level of client service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Talent Acquisition Metrics & Reporting

  • Track recruiting activity, costs and expenses for all job requisitions
  • Maintain, benchmark, and analyze recruitment metrics and work with Sr. HR Analyst to consolidate into overall HR reporting
  • Partner with the Team Leader, Talent Acquisition to advance recruitment analytics in order to better predict quality of hires, employee productivity, and job fit
  • Provide insights on local job market and competitive compensation
  • HR Accountabilities

  • Support various total rewards related initiatives to drive employee experience (., coordination of annual performance management tools, coordination of benefits documents, and coordination with benefits vendors)
  • Research HR best practices and make recommendations where appropriate
  • Participate in projects that impact the HR function
  • Other administrative duties as required
  • What You Bring To The Team

  • 2-3 years of full-cycle recruitment experience with a best practice approach to staffing and recruitment
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system, social media, innovative resources and online tools for sourcing candidates
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting for specific areas (technology, call centre) is an asset
  • Experience in the financial services industry is an asset
  • Experience contributing to various HR initiatives (., employee experience, total rewards, performance management, talent management systems, talent metrics) is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with interviewing techniques (., situational, behavioural)
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize job responsibilities and manage high volumes of information effectively.
  • Commitment to delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of general HR practices and employment related legislation
  • Proven ability to take initiative and look beyond current role openings and identify a pipeline of talent
  • Familiarity with using metrics to measure and report progress to client groups
  • Comfortable working independently within a highly collaborative and changing work environment
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility to occasionally travel to company's Kitchener, ON. Location
  • Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources
  • CHRP designation or working towards is an asset
