The new Biologics Manufacturing Centre is helping build Canada's capacity to produce, access and supply vaccines and other biologics to advance Canada's biomanufacturing sector and respond to public health emergencies.


The Coordinator, Procedures & Training is playing a key role to ensure that the content of procedures is practical and complies with regulatory requirements.

He/She ensures employees and contract staff meet compliance requirements relating to knowledge, skill and practices necessary for their job performance in addition to actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the quality culture.


He or she will also be responsible for:

  • Coordinating, reviewing, translating or have translated, and managing all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Leading the design and deployment of the yearly Good x Practices (GxP) training sessions
  • Designing, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts, conducting and/or managing the (GxP) training content
  • Designing, coordinating, coaching and training the onboarding training activities on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Performing training administration activities (KPI reporting, adherence to training requirements, maintaining of employee dossier, Learning Management System (LMS) data entry, archival, etc.)
  • Providing expertise to managers and SMEs
  • Writing standard work instructions (SOPs)
  • Acting as SMEs during regulatory inspections, external and internal audits


The NRC will soon be transitioning operations of the Biologics Manufacturing Centre to a not-for-profit corporation structure (outside the Government of Canada).

As a result, this is a term employment opportunity with the NRC until March 31, 2023, with the potential of an offer of employment under the new organization after this date.
