Description
Preparation of all items in accordance with standard recipes approved by management

  • Assist in menu planning, inventory counts and grocery orders
  • Chef needs to be able to work days or nights
  • Ensure consistency in food delivery including cooking, handling, storing and labeling products (FIFO) in accordance with FOOD-SAFE standards
  • Familiar with all equipment and cooking methods while maintaining strict compliance with all Health and Safety standards
  • We provide transportation from Fort St. John to the camp, as well as lodging, all meals and uniforms.

Job Requirements:


  • Minimum 3+ years' experience
  • Willing to work as Day cook or Breakfast Cook where ever needed in the kitchen
  • Duties include (but not limited to) washing dishes, cooking on line, food preparation, continuous cleaning & sanitizing
  • Having Catering experience is an asset
  • Schedule may vary to: Day shifts, Night shifts, Weekend and Holidays
  • Proper use of chemicals, including cleaning and sanitizing agents Reports to work wellgroomed, in uniform, and practices good personal hygiene at all times
  • High School Certificate or equivalent education required
  • Having a professional attitude in and outside of the work area towards coworkers and clients
  • Thorough knowledge of standard recipes, food products and proper preparation
  • Must have a practical and theoretical background in all areas of the kitchen
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast pace environment
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Fluent in English; both verbal and written

Salary:
$240.00-$270.00 per day
