Housekeeping Manager

What you bring to the table:

  • 5 years of managerial housekeeping experience in a hotel or related industry
  • Previous experience within housekeeping operations
  • Strong and decisive leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and problemsolving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and passion for hospitality
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills is a must
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency and administrative skills
  • High level of professionalism and sound human resources principles
  • Strong ability to motivate, train, develop, and guide a team
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs and meet the other physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to work flexible hours and some weekends when required
  • Postsecondary diploma in tourism or hospitality is an asset
  • Must have Valid G driver's license

Daily Requirements:


  • Manage daily housekeeping operations, including maintaining the cleanliness and product quality standards of the guest suites and the office
  • Monitor and develop team performance, including supervising, conducting performance evaluations, and providing ongoing training, all while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Maintain the inventory of housekeeping and guest suite supplies, including performing counts and ordering new product
  • Manage laundry (completion of wash cycles & ensuring that all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and free from stains or damage, folding of linen, and correct storage)
  • Create the housekeeping department's daily schedule and manage any timeoff requests
  • Assist with the cleaning of suites when required (two weeks training will be required)
  • Provide key involvement in the company's preventative maintenance procedures
  • Foster positive cross departmental relationships to create a seamless experience
  • Manage the implementation and enforcement of new and existing company policies and procedures

Salary:
$22.50-$25.00 per hour
