Fully committed to attracting and retaining the very best leadership talent to our community, the District is seeking an accomplished local government professional as Chief Administrative Officer.


As Chief Administrative Officer you will report to and work collaboratively with Council in developing policies, programs and strategies that address the unique needs of the community.

You will assume leadership responsibility for District operations and provide a high level of service to the community and residents.

Working with a dynamic municipal team you will help shape the District's future with an ambitious agenda of strategic priorities and will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the community.


You have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related discipline and seven or more years of progressive senior leadership experience in complex multi-stakeholder local government, Regional District, or Municipal consulting environments.

You are a highly credible, authentic leader and mentor with a proven track record.

You have been responsible for providing strong leadership to high performing teams and you are effective in a fast paced, growing community.

You have a deep understanding of the principles of good governance, as well as the ability to build consensus and collaborate effectively with elected officials, community stakeholders, and residents.

You are respected for communicating a clear vision, are decisive and values based, and can lead a senior management team that ensures Council policies and programs are effectively implemented.


Passionate about organizational well being, you inspire confidence in others and bring exceptional interpersonal and strategic planning skills as well as a commitment to service, results, and the execution of strategy.

You see yourself being effective at engaging and building respectful and trusting relationships with the T'Sou-ke and Scia'new Nations, as well as local groups, businesses, and other governments.

You understand the importance of strong First Nations relationships, the collaboration needed to correct past wrongs, and prioritize reconciliation.


Known as a "can do" person, you fully understand the challenges facing progressive, modern day communities, and have a track record of demonstrating your capabilities as a senior executive.

You are a take charge, visionary strategic thinker with impeccable human resources and labour relations skills and a communicator with sound political judgement.

Education :
Bachelor's degree

Experience : 5 years or more
