THE JOB


The primary role of the Sales Representative is to
develop new business leads and maintain a solid portfolio of customers who consistently buy.

Making cold calls that generate orders versus waiting for an inquiry is an integral part of this role.

This role requires someone who is comfortable cold-calling, able to quickly build rapport with potential customers and gets satisfaction through the overachievement of sales targets.

HOURS OF WORK:
7:30AM - 4:30PM_**
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cold call prospective customers in order to qualify them and determine if they are a good fit for Bramwood Forest and Sister Companies.
  • Develop lasting relationships with customers allowing for favorable consideration when buying.
  • Build potential customer lists, using a variety of search methods including cold calling to constantly grow your prospects and develop new business.
  • Develop your account base through consistent and effective communication, and customer visits.
  • Provide outstanding support to sales management team and customers by answering incoming customer calls, providing information on the status of orders or stock supply, writing/verifying/tracking orders.
  • Work closely with lumber buyers and managers to ensure product supply and market awareness.
  • Travel to visit customers and potentials.
  • Participate in training and development courses, continuously improving your skill set.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies with orders in a prompt manner.
  • Contact customers as required with outstanding overdue accounts.
  • Arrange for cheque pickups via courier or upon delivery of an order. Followup with A/R to ensure cheques are received.
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections and customer maintenance as needed
  • Update payment dates regarding outstanding invoices.
  • Assist in keeping abreast of all stocked products available for sale at Bramwood Forest.
  • Negotiate favorable prices while meeting the customer's product specifications.
  • Achieve new account, sales and gross profit targets, through your daily activities. Meet other KPI's as needed.
  • Use Salesforce to keep up to date information on all customers and prospects.
  • Other duties as required to attain company goals.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 2+ Years' experience within a fast paced sales environment.
  • Entrepreneurial, driven, strong work ethic and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong phone sales skills with confidence and comfortability making coldcalls.
  • Knowledge of lumber market is an asset.
  • In depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and structural wood products is an asset.
  • Must have a valid Passport and be able to travel into the United States.
  • Has access to an automobile and has a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Resultsdriven, ambitious and selfmotivated.
  • Versatile with the ability to quickly change directions.
  • Ability to assess market conditions and establish a fair selling price.
  • Experience making profitbased decisions based on available facts.
