About the role:
Reporting to the MRP, Inventory Management and Requirements Coordination Supervisor, the incumbent will ensure adequate and qualitative inventory levels to support our clients by controlling and monitoring procurement requirements and updating system data.
Over time, the analyst will develop a good understanding of maintenance and asset management processes which will allow them to understand consumption in the system and the challenges faced by our clients.
Essentially, the incumbent will be an essential and knowledgeable element of the procurement process. This will enable them to facilitate the resolution of interdepartmental issues.In this role, you will:
- Monitoring the consistency of daily purchases (MRP purchase requisitions).
- Analyzing and updating stock levels in line with the criticality of MRP items and working with the coordinator on divisional stock revision.
- Working with the coordinator and planners, understanding their needs and ensuring a high level of service by determining the optimal balance of planning and inventory.
- Actively collaborating with the warehouse supervisor and their teams on analyzing major discrepancies/anomalies and managing inventory.
- Participating in the analysis of warehouse flows (urgency/return) and item data (conversion unit, rounding value) to achieve our turnover performance and service level targets.
- Providing firstline support to our internal clients while explaining the system and the logic applied.
- Participating in drafting and distributing various processes and tasks, and related training.
- Using KPIs to prioritize tasks.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
- A university degree in a field related to inventory management or a combination of college education and experience.
- Good working knowledge of the SAP MM module and proficiency in Excel.
- Assets: SAP EWM, Microsoft BI, Smartsheet.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and the basics of project management (asset).
- A team player with organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to simplify and explain concepts, a focus on customer service.
- A keen interest in data analysis and optimizing system operations.
- The ability to document, monitor and implement actions or corrections. The ability to work independently.
