Description

As a Nursing Supervisor, you will:

  • Ensure team members have the tools and knowledge to understand and meet stakeholder expectations, are well aligned with the Key Accountabilities of their roles, and are meeting performance expectations
  • Ensure frequent, effective, and timely communication between staff and external stakeholders (patients, families, referral sources, funders)
  • Assess training and skills gaps, develop and/or deliver formal and informal training support; provide ongoing mentorship and coaching.
  • Provide support to Leadership team on facilities management and new project work.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe environment for patients and employees and ensure the patient experience meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Proactively identify risks related to program services, and support the development of risk mitigation and quality management
  • Provide input into developing clinical education and training needs and/or opportunities.
  • Create a team environment that fosters strong employee engagement

To take on the role of Nursing Supervisor, you must:

  • Possess a current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse
  • Possess professional liability insurance as per CNO mandate
  • Have 2+ years of leadership experience and/or experience within the home health industry
  • Have experience in coordination
  • Possess a valid Ontario driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle
  • Have the ability to provide the best possible solutions to problems that align with policies and uphold best practices
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are enforced and upheld by all Care Providers
