Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor's degree from an accredited postsecondary institution
- Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
- Successful completion of police records check
- Vulnerable sector screening
- Bilingualism (French and English).
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of Counselling theories, approaches, and techniques.
- Experience in providing individual and group counselling services.
- Experience in facilitating psychoeducational workshops.
- Knowledge of interventions with women victims of violence is an asset.
- Experience in individual and group crisis intervention is an asset.
- Formal training in cognitivebehavioral therapy and experience in delivering cognitivebehavioral therapy is an asset.
- Good knowledge Microsoft Office.
SALARY
Salary is based on the collective agreement pay scale and depends on education and experience, from
$44,914 to $68,376 per year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person is responsible for providing individual and couple counselling sessions, facilitating psycho-educational group workshops, and maintaining record keeping. The person will be responsible for offering face-to-face sessions in the office and remotely via telephone and/or telehealth (video).
