Veterinary Client Service Representatives are the first voices that clients hear on the phone and the first face that they see entering the clinic.

Your role is critical to our patients' and clients' experiences and that is why we are looking for extraordinary team players who are hard-working, proficient at multitasking, enthusiastic and excellent communicators desiring to build strong relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Greeting patients and clients
  • Coordinate booking appointments
  • Ability to keep a busy appointment schedule on tract by collaborating with the team
  • Weigh pets
  • Facilitate the movement of clients and pets to improve workflow and their comfort
  • Active involvement in client education on prevention and wellness (vaccinations, deworming, diagnostic testing, sterilization), diet/nutrition, discharge instructions and followup care
  • We are paperless and therefore you must be comfortable using computer programs and veterinary management software in addition to typing and interacting with staff and clients through a messaging service
  • Administrative duties, including inputting client/patient data, processing payments, submitting daily financial reports, product sales and returns, providing estimates, attaining the appropriate signed documents, facilitating transfer of records to emergency referral hospitals
  • Facilitate the submission and processing of insurance claims
  • Fill prescriptions under the direction of a veterinarian
  • Assist in coordinating inpatient surgeries and procedures
  • Assist with inhospital patient care
  • Willingness to assist the veterinarian or veterinary technician with some procedures as needed
  • This role also oversees the health and wellness of animals which may, on occasion, require bending, lifting, twisting.
  • Maintain a clean working environment
  • General cleaning
  • Support hospital operations by ordering inventory and managing deliveries
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute relevant issues for discussion
  • Provide coverage for other staff members in their absence

Education:
Veterinary Office Administration Recognition of Achievement (preferred), Bachelor Degree (preferred), High School Diploma


Experience:
prior veterinary clinic experience required (Veterinary Assistant and Veterinary Receptionist): 2 year (preferred), Customer service: 1 year (min.)
