City University of Seattle's School of Health and Social Sciences is one of the lead producers of counselors for Washington State and British Columbia, Canada.
Aside from counseling, SHSS touts highly ranked and in-demand certificates, undergraduate and graduate health and human services programs, criminal justice, and general studies.

Job Summary:
The Academic Program Director reports to the Director of Canadian Counselling Programs and is responsible for quality student experience. Provide visionary leadership and management to ensure the program's success, including program design, assessment, technology integration, and curriculum development.
The Director leads and manages Associate Program Directors, support staff, and teaching faculty, fosters student development, and actively engages in academic governance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaches two courses a year or the equivalent, within compensation, as assigned to ensure the quality of program and student learning experience.
- Performance of faculty and staff management
- Curriculum Development and Review

- Academic and Institutional Governance
- Currency and Scholarship
- Service and Outreach
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. - An earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Counseling or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in teaching, preferably in both inclass and online modes of educational delivery.
- Experience in higher education management and leadership.
- Ability to address student academicrelated issues and concerns in support of retention and student success.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing in a creative and fastpaced environment.
- Ability to manage virtual teams.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to relate to and communicate with diverse students, faculty, staff, and external communities.
