This person's primary responsibility is to support the Production Planning department with logístical coordination and support.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Service Level Agreements with freight forwarders and transport partners are upheld
- Collaborate with transport providers to enforce transit time agreements and mitigate delays
- Liaise with other internal groups to support and promote Logistics
- Help maintain a healthy customs compliance by partnering with various stakeholders
- Prepare and update performance and financial reports
- Perform data entry for import and export shipments
- Observe, suggest, and improve internal new logistics processes within the company
- Trace, track and expedite purchase processes
- Arranging external carriers
- Work with custom program for invoicing and credits
- Prepare paperwork and customs documentation
- Ensure daily orders are processed correctly and in a timely manner
- Assist with process improvement and cost saving initiatives
- Create and maintain contact with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Interact with third party logistics service providers
- Audit freight cost and documentation
- Maintain communication with warehouse staff to ensure proper working order
- Review bills, invoices and purchase orders
- Create packing lists and update shipment information in database
- Organize files both manually and electronically
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a similar position;
- Selfstarter with good judgment and can proactively manage up where appropriate
- Accountable for results, strives to meet and exceed expectations;
- Detailoriented, resultsdriven and a team player;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Good computer knowledge and skilled in Microsoft Office, with strong proficiency in Excel;
- Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working in a fastpaced environment with highvolume;
- Strong organizational and problemsolving skills; and
- Bilingual (English and French).
