Job Opportunity:
Mental Health and Wellness Clinician

The Stz'uminus First Nation is seeking a full-time permanentMental Health and Wellness Clinician for the Stz'uminus Health Centre.


Hourly Rate:
$40.17 as per HEU Collective Agreement


Hours of work: 35 hours per week, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (unless otherwise scheduled to meet the needs of programs) Monday to Friday.


The Mental Health and Wellness Clinician works is a member of the overall Health Team and plays a lead role in establishing a community-based mental health program, including addressing critical gaps in mental health services and programs.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


μ A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working in mental health services and providing a wide range of community-based mental health services.


μ Knowledge of mental health services - especially child and youth mental health services, including how clients can access these services.

μ Experience working or linking with First Nations communities or other Aboriginal communities.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
μ Licensed to practice nursing in the Province of British Columbia under the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) (and qualified to provide nursing in psychiatry and mental health) or a master's or bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Social Work
  • Counseling
  • Clinical Psychology
  • Child and Youth Care
μ Must undergo a satisfactory reference check, a criminal records review, and a police record check.


μ Must possess a Valid BC Driver's License and may be required to use own vehicle (with appropriate insurance) for work purposes.

Pay:
$40.17-$44.29 per hour
