Position Title: Part-Time Professor, Developmental Service Worker Diploma and/or Bachelor of Behavioural Science Program
Status: Part-time teaching contract (1-6 hrs/week)
Faculty/Department: Faculty of Social & Community Services
Campus/Location: Lakeshore Campus
Salary: Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience.
What you will do:
A leader in polytechnic education, Humber invites talented, committed individuals interested in teaching on a part-time basis to take the first step in joining our dynamic faculty team for Winter 2024.
Knowledge of learning pedagogy, learning design techniques, educational technology and authentic assessment are required for curriculum development. This individual will create innovative designs for courses that engage students in courses and modules that support a flexible, customizable, and personalized learning experience for students.
We are accepting applications for part-time professors to teach in the Developmental Service Worker diploma program and Bachelor of Behavioral Science Program

QualificationsWhat you bring to the role:
Candidates must have a Master's degree in Developmental/ Behavioural/Critical Disability Studies work, psychology and/or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the profession, and/or human services.
Preference will be given to candidates who have at least 2 years of Counselling/clinical experience.
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching at the post-secondary level and the technical ability and knowledge in instructional design, course development, learning management systems, and web-based authoring tools related to education/training. Experience applying the requirements of Ontario AODA legislation to the creation of educational materials is an asset.
Additional competencies include, but are not limited to, strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills, commitment to teaching excellence, student success and inclusive teaching practices (i.e. Universal Design for Learning).
