    What's in it for You: As the Managing Director of Investment Finance & Complex Transaction Advisory at SLC Finance, you'll lead a dynamic team overseeing various aspects of global investment financial reporting and analysis, financial planning, and complex transaction advisory. Your role will involve consolidating financial reporting for the diverse global investment portfolio in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This requires advanced technical skills, analytical insights, and operational efficiency, with key stakeholders including Investment Front Office, Strategic Investments, Portfolio Management, and more.

    What You Will Do:
    • Lead the team responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting processes for the Sun Life General Account invested asset portfolio.
    • Prepare quarterly financial review packages, including detailed attribution analysis and presentations to senior management.
    • Manage the credit review process for global investments and ensure adherence to IFRS standards.
    • Oversee the Expected Credit Loss model under IFRS 9.
    • Interpret accounting guidelines and provide policy recommendations for complex transactions.
    • Prepare impact assessments of consolidation under IFRS 10.
    • Manage financial statement notes requirements, board reporting, and regulatory compliance.
    • Provide leadership on strategic projects and initiatives.
    What You Need to Succeed:
    • CPA/CFA designation with over 10 years of investment industry experience.
    • Deep knowledge of invested assets and IFRS standards.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to lead diverse teams.
    • Effective communication of complex accounting matters.
    • Ability to build and manage finance teams across multiple locations.
