We are seeking a highly motivated dynamic member to join our team as a consultant based in ottawa office reporting to executive vice president of federal government relations this position will support clients on federal government relations and firm s presence public affairs activities in nation s capital
Qualifications
- previous experience working on staff elected federal politician or providing direct support senior level public service executive at federal government relations public affairs firm or in house government relations outreach advocacy public affairs role ability register consultant lobbyist under lobbying act undergraduate studies relating politics public policy business economics journalism communications social sciences humanities fields strong interest federal politics public affairs demonstrated track record political engagement participation public affairs policy activities well developed research analysis writing skills proven strategic planning project management experience outgoing collaborative personality confident presentation speaking skills interest developing network across federal government ability handle fast paced stressful work environments constructively people differing personality types political views proficiency using word processing spreadsheet presentation development email calendar management graphic design online meeting platforms zoom microsoft teams google meet equivalent experience highly similar roles considered completion undergraduate degree particularly major concentration politics public policy business economics journalism communications social sciences humanities fields existing network federal government contacts previous successful federal government relations business development experience familiarity exposure social media management media relations event planning professional setting,
