Position:


As an integral member of the team, the chiropractors will perform neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and spine assessment of, the diagnosis of diseases or disorders associated with physical dysfunction, injury or pain and provide treatment, rehabilitation and prevention or relief of physical dysfunction, injury or pain to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment function and promote mobility.

This job requires excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, adaptability/flexibility and excellent communication skills.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Plan and implement individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical function, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
  • Case collaboration within the multidisciplinary healthcare team is a key component of the job.
  • Work directly with patients, families and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team throughout the assessment and management/treatment process.
  • Actively deliver clinical care including consultation, assessment, treatment planning, implementing/delivering therapy and evaluating patientspecific treatment programs.
  • Provide patient and caregiver education on selfmanagement strategies.
  • Supervise, teach and mentor students, learners, other staff and volunteers
  • Lead model of care development and development of standard operating procedures, including clinical staff work flows.
  • Support research and quality improvement activities, including but not limited to the delivery of treatment protocols for intervention trials.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned and perform crossfunctional duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:


  • At minimum, completion of a Doctor of Chiropractic medicine degree or registered equivalent is required.
  • Registration with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario required
  • A minimum of over two years up to and including 3 years related and practical experience and/or 2 years related on the job training required
  • Experience in a hospital environment (acute or rehab) preferred.
  • A strong, evidencebased rehabilitation training required.
  • Registration with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario required

  • Membership in the Canadian Chiropractic Association preferred.
  • Membership in the Ontario Chiropractic Association preferred.
  • Professional Liability Insurance required.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certifications required.
