Position Summary
(Hybrid Work Schedule)
The Logistics Co-Ordinator is responsible for coordinating the logistics and tracking of all inbound and outbound shipments ensuring that proper and accurate documents have been prepared and that delivery schedules have been met.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with multiple customers to ensure that all inbound and outbound requests have been booked in a timely manner
- Continually track and updates shipment status to customers
- Work with suppliers and customers to confirm that all expedited loads are booked for the requested timelines
- Resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping or receiving process
- Monitor and track the flow of goods into and out of the warehouse
- Ensure that proper paperwork requirements for all shipments and deliveries are prepared in an accurate and effective manner
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and other departments as required, on shipment times and deliveries.
- Follow up with our custom broker on any documentation that is required when orders are placed on FDA Hold
- Verify all new orders entered in our accounting program and assign due dates accordingly
- Complete appropriate requirements for any shipments or deliveries which require customs documentation
- Follow and practice all GMP's, HACCP and SQF protocols as it relates to the logistics team and work in accordance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Adhere to all company policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures
- Other duties and projects as assigned by Manager
Education, Experience & Competency Requirements:
- Successful completion of a postsecondary education in Logistics or Materials Management
- Minimum of 3 years of logistics experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Must have cross border experience with CUSMA, tariff codes and customs procedures
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Adaptable and flexible to meeting changing work requirements and responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced team environment and have good attention to detail
- Computer skills intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP system
