How will you make an impact?

What will you do?

  • Consistently achieve or exceed the territory sales plan & demonstrate use of strategic selling skills remotely & in person to penetrate & grow current & new business.
  • Develop, write, and implement a business plan for the territory annually, updated quarterly.
  • Leverage Thermo Fisher's customer relations management (CRM) system and other tools for prospecting, funnel management & to maintain and increase current customer database.
  • Regularly promote & lead customer facing meetings, events, presentations and customer proposals in collaboration with support teams.
  • Communicate key activities, trends, and changing customer & industry dynamics as well as account objectives and actions to management regularly
  • Use our products to provide comprehensive solutions & to craft value proposition for our customers
  • Identify and evaluate potential new business opportunities to sell the company's products and capabilities to customers for RUO & potential commercial supply basis.
  • Collaborate with
    Biosciences Commercial Supply & OEM and business unit partners to develop business/partnership frameworks for large, complex, often multiyear mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Initiate and develop productive client relationships in multiple functions (e.g. R&D, production, procurement, marketing, quality, regulatory affairs) at multiple levels within them (scientists, project managers, managerial and executive levels), as may be important.
  • Participate in programs as presented by the company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with the Thermo Fisher philosophy, policies and procedures. Overnight travel may be required for these trainings & meetings.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field preferred. Master's degree a plus.

Experience

  • Molecular or Cell Biology wet lab experience preferred
  • 1+ year of sales experience in the life sciences industry, preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or like programs required

  • Must possess strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication & presentation skills.
  • Able to work well both independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrate a positive approach and desire to succeed with a consistent track record of establishing goals and achieving results

  • Exhibit a high degree of flexibility to adapt in an evolving environment
