Description

As part of the management team, this individual will be innovative, will recommend and then implement improvements to current policies and procedures to ensure the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Direct all crane activities, including scheduling, manpower, permitting, transportation coordination, etc.
  • Maintain relationships with current key customers and ensure their needs are met.
  • Perform occasional site visits and liaise with customers.
  • Ensure employees are following company procedures, policies, and completing all SWP, SJP, JSERA, etc.
  • Work closely with the Shop Foreman to ensure that the cranes and equipment are readily available and maintained appropriately, and that inventory levels are sufficient.
  • Serve as a bridge between field employees and office staff to ensure effective communication between both divisions.
  • Ensure staffing levels are appropriate to the workload, and nonbillable overtime is kept to a minimum.
  • Ensure accuracy in all documentation, including completing FLHA audits, toolbox talks, and that work orders being completed correctly, approved by customers, etc and captured on timesheets.
  • Adopt and demonstrate a leadership style which emphasizes the concepts of a team approach, coaching of subordinates for optimum performance, and open, twoway communication.
  • Ensure internal controls are followed to maximize efficiency, productivity and to protect company assets.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Crane and Rigging Supervisor, or directly related experience in the Crane Industry
  • Knowledge of crane configurations, Western Canada weight allowances, and Hours of Service
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and other computer resources
  • Must promote a safety conscious attitude and leadership style
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, work as a team, and mesh with different personality groups.
