Position Status:
Temporary Full-Time (4 months)
- Available: May 2024
- Description of the Position:
- As a member of the Finance team, the Intern will assist in delivering a broad range of Accounting functions. With supervision the Intern will assist in updating and verifying Endowment reporting for donor reports. The intern will also assist with the Accounts Payable process and assist the Accounting Team with adhoc projects as required.
- This role reports directly to Associate Director, Accounting.
- You will:
- Assist with yearend Endowment reporting including:
- verifying that data is accurately accounted for.
- o identifying reconciliation anomalies.
- Assist with processing accounts payable, including verifying invoices are processed in a timely manner and accurately approved per policy;
- Additional duties and projects as assigned.
Required Skills:
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a University degree or Community College diploma in Human Resources
- Recently graduated or enrolled in a University degree or Community College diploma in Accounting or equivalent, which requires a coop placement;
- Previous Accounting and or Finance experience (preferred);
- Intermediate/advanced competency with various Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Excel;
- Ability to act with discretion, tact and diplomacy;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills;
- Superior customer service skills;
- Able to constantly reprioritize work in a fast paced, service oriented environment;
- Excellent at time management and organizational skills; and
- A team player
- Total Compensation Package:
- Hours: 35hour work week, hybrid work model (Tuesday and Wednesday in office. Monday, Thursday and Friday remote).
