We are currently looking for an experienced Quality Manager who has supported large and complex Programs/Projects in the area of quality assurance and quality control.


In this role, you will have the chance to join our existing team at a well established Software Engineering Facility made up of Developers, Testers and a Software Engineering Tool Support team.


Overview:

We are looking for a "Senior Quality Manager" to lead a software development organization in the implementation of Quality Assurance and SAFe Practices, institutionalizing them and auditing the projects to the requirements of the newest ISO Standards.

(blending Agile and ISO together)

Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:


  • Manage the following activities:
- develop and implement a Quality Assurance Program for the Program, and Project/Client.
- collate, assess, define, implement and update standards, policies and procedures for Quality Assurance for all aspects of product/software.
- prepare and update program/project quality assurance policies, standards and procedures.
- research, test and recommend new tools to improve quality.
- ensure that tools and procedures are common to and known by all personnel as required.
- prepare for and conduct quality assurance audit.

  • Manage quality assurance/control support by:
  • participate in quality audits of the project's engineering process.
- develop and distribute client satisfaction surveys, analyze results and lessons learned.
- review engineering documentation to ensure that it meets the required standard.

  • Manage assistance to the program team by:
  • attend formal technical reviews and prepare evaluation reports.
- organize the Management Steering Committee meetings as required.
- report on the Quality Program at Management Steeling Committee meetings.
- coordinate and lead annual ISO auditor visits.
- prepare QA reports as needed.
- establish and monitor a quality metrics program.


Qualifications:

- at least 10+ years working in a Quality Management role.

years of work experience in system engineering, information technology, information management, software engineering, life cycle management, computer or communication systems.

- a Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent as determine by the DND technical authority

  • A strong background and knowledge of ISO Standards and exposure to Agile practices and processes. Client has mandated SaFE (Structured Agile Framework)
  • Must have at least 5 years experience in the preparation of guidance and strategic direction documentation in the field of IM/IT, or engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience with each of the following tasks:
  • develop strategic documentation and strategies.
- conduct reviews and assessment of program objectives from a technical perspective.
- analyze and evaluate alternate solutions to meet departmental objectives.
- ensure the integration of all aspects of solutions
- monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology.

  • Must hold a valid "Secret" clearance with PSPC (Federal Government clearance) and also the "Controlled Goods" Certificate to start.

  • In your resume, please be sure to address your experience with Agile practices and Safe processes, experience you have as a user with SharePoint technologies, experience you have writing/developing processes (quality related) any internal auditing experience that you have, and software engineering experience/skills
