Forklift Technician - Vaughan, Canada - Quick HR

We are seeking a skilled and experiencedForklift Technician to for our client in Vaughan, ON.
The Forklift Technician will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with forklifts and equipment.
- Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Provide training and guidance to operators on safe and proper use of forklifts and equipment.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, developments, and advancements in forklift technology.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in forklift repair preferred.
- Proven experience as a forklift technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with diesel, electric, and propanepowered forklifts.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
Shift Timings: 7:30AM to 5:00PM
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$20.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours:

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Vaughan, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- mechanical: 3 years (preferred)
Forklift Technician: 1 year (preferred)
