About the Opportunity:
Under the direction of the Program Manager or delegate, the Clerk is responsible for the scheduling, and registering of patient appointments for Orthotic/Prosthetic/Pedorthic/Driving/Seating services.
They are also responsible for inputting and updating all data related to patient information and department statistics; answering phones and directing patient inquiries, receiving payments from patients, providing appropriate receipts, balancing daily cash flow; entering payroll data; assisting with timesheets; typing; faxing; filing and photocopying.
The Clerk may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio in a 7-day service.
About You:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade XII plus one year related experience OR graduate of a recognized one year secretarial/business program
- Medical Terminology Course an asset
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience working with individuals with physical or cognitive impairments preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
- Understanding of and commitment to the protection of patients' personal health information and associated hospital policies and procedures
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Excellent customer service is required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast faced environment
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours:
- Long assignment, Fulltime position; 70 hours biweekly
- Approximately a 12month assignment
Compensation and Incentives:
$ $21.91 Hourly
