- Participate in the planning and execution of PR strategies.
- Support media relations and filter requests.
- Conduct media outreach including pitching, follow-up and reporting.
- Research, develop and maintain relationships with key media, influencers and explore partnership opportunities.
- Enhance the company's voice and presence through online and offline channels.
- Coordinate Air Canada Vacations annual travel awards program.
- Take part in the ideation process of PR initiatives.
- Participate in the company's environmental audit and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting.
- Lead Air Canada Vacations Sustainability Committee.
- Create a variety of communications, including but not limited to, presentations, news releases, pitches and partnership decks.
- Support with Crisis Communications, including travel advisories.
- Stay up to date with travel industry trends, media contacts, and potential new channels and strategies to help grow and reach new audiences.
- Support with coordination of internal and external events.
- Support Internal Communications with projects, as required.
- Bilingual – English & French, verbal and written
- University degree or Cegep diploma in a related field or equivalent experience
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, TEAMS and JIRA, with willingness to learn new programs and platforms
- Proven track record of achieving earned media coverage
- Understanding of social marketing principles and strategies
- Travel Industry experience considered an asset but not required
- Team player, comfortable working cross-functionally with all levels of management
- Demonstrates autonomy, excellent work/organizational methods and acts in a professional and discreet manner
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative corporate environment
