    JOB TITLE : Public Relations Specialist

    POSITION STATUS : Permanent

    DEPARTMENT : Marketing & Corporate Communications

    LOCATION : Montreal

    What You'll Be Doing


    As a key member of the Marketing & Corporate Communications team, you'll help to :

    • Participate in the planning and execution of PR strategies.
    • Support media relations and filter requests.
    • Conduct media outreach including pitching, follow-up and reporting.
    • Research, develop and maintain relationships with key media, influencers and explore partnership opportunities.
    • Enhance the company's voice and presence through online and offline channels.
    • Coordinate Air Canada Vacations annual travel awards program.
    • Take part in the ideation process of PR initiatives.
    • Participate in the company's environmental audit and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting.
    • Lead Air Canada Vacations Sustainability Committee.
    • Create a variety of communications, including but not limited to, presentations, news releases, pitches and partnership decks.
    • Support with Crisis Communications, including travel advisories.
    • Stay up to date with travel industry trends, media contacts, and potential new channels and strategies to help grow and reach new audiences.
    • Support with coordination of internal and external events.
    • Support Internal Communications with projects, as required.

    What You Bring To The Team

    • Bilingual – English & French, verbal and written
    • University degree or Cegep diploma in a related field or equivalent experience
    • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
    • Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, TEAMS and JIRA, with willingness to learn new programs and platforms
    • Proven track record of achieving earned media coverage
    • Understanding of social marketing principles and strategies
    • Travel Industry experience considered an asset but not required
    • Team player, comfortable working cross-functionally with all levels of management
    • Demonstrates autonomy, excellent work/organizational methods and acts in a professional and discreet manner
    • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative corporate environment
