On-Site Caretakers Needed for Seniors Housing Community
The Lions Village of Greater Edmonton Society, dedicated to providing quality, safe, and affordable apartment-style housing for senior communities, seeks a diligent and experienced Site Caretaker to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and administration of our three senior housing buildings in Edmonton.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Site Caretaker will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the site while providing exceptional service to our residents.
Responsibilities:
Administration and Resident Service:
- Promptly respond to resident concerns and inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and followup.
- Coordinate and conduct movein and moveout inspections, maintaining accurate records.
- Enforce all legislative requirements and Society policies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents.
- Collaborate with fellow Site Caretakers and provide support as needed.
Operations:
- Maintain cleanliness and order of interior and exterior common areas, employing safe handling of tools and chemicals.
- Monitor and adjust heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including drywall, electrical, tiling, and plumbing work.
- Manage landscaping duties as required, including the maintenance of trees, lawns, and plants.
- Demonstrate proficiency in emergency operation procedures for electrical, boiler, fire safety systems, sprinklers, and timers.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record check.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $31, $41,600.00 annually, plus a housing benefit valued at $14,400.00.

- 8hour shift, Monday to Friday, with oncall availability.

- Retention bonus.
