Overview


The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and align with legislation and customer specifications.

Requiring a high level of attention to detail, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization's quality assurance procedures and policies and identifying defects and/or production errors to prevent these materials from entering the supply chain.


Positions available on our dayshift as well as our Monday to Thursday nightshifts.

M-th Nights 6pm -5:30am paid at $43.00 per hour ( Requirements are a Jman Electrical Cert and has QC/ QA background )
**Rotational Dayshift - 6 am

  • 6pm ( Averaging 12 hours where you have 7 shifts in two weeks) First week OFF, OFF, ON ,ON, OFF, OFF, OFF/ 2ND Week
  • ON, ON, OFF,OFF,ON, ON, ON. You have every other weekend off as a long weekend. You do have the calendar for the whole year so if you are a person who would like to plan your vacation ahead of time, this may be for you.**
    Roles & Responsibilities
  • Daily inspection of in process units: ensure sealing is completed, no missing parts, and all other in process inspections are of high quality.
  • Daily inspection of paperwork for all in process units and report any deficiencies to Quality Supervisor.
  • Complete sub assembly inspections such as: motor, coil, evap., furnace, and paint.
  • Complete unit final inspections.
  • Review inspection documents and make unit packages.
  • Report any observed safety issues to the Safety Coach or Safety Coordinator.
  • Assist with education of other inspectors and production team members.
  • Inspect drawings and marking/breaking work and ensure it is correct.
  • Assist marking with Engineering changes where drawings are not correct and submit to Quality Supervisor.
  • Inspect all aspect of units with the appropriate forms from the beginning to the end and record all discrepancies.
  • Organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
  • Other duties as required.

QC Journeyman Electrician

Specific Accountabilities


The Quality Control Electrician is responsible for direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation, electrical code and customer specifications.

Requiring a high level of attention to detail and technical expertise, the Quality Control Technician is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization's quality assurance policies and identifying defects and or production errors in order to prevent these materials from entering the supply chain.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.


Scope

  • Reviews blueprints and specifications; ensures final manufactured product matches with drawings and specifications
  • Proposes changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation and efficiency of systems plans and specifications for sanitation facilities
  • Advise and provides technical expertise to Electrical staff
  • Inspect production systems as assigned for defects
  • Report defective items from production, designating reason for removal or rework, and report to appropriate manager.
  • Perform internal QA audits that are compliant with corporate policies, practices, and procedures
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards, codes and legislation
  • Adopt and incorporate quality methods into their work
  • Create and maintain QA control documentation
  • Oversees and/or implements corrective actions
  • Ensures accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects
  • Reviews code accuracy for certification compliance
  • Provides technical Assistance/Emergency Response of existing facilities electrical systems
  • Test manufactured equipment for proper performance
  • Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code.
  • Other assigned work as required

Working Conditions

  • Commercial/Industrial environment.
  • Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
  • Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
  • Long periods of standing.
  • Overtime as required.
