JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Foreman, Logistics, the Class 1 Driver - Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the movement of heavy equipment to various locations based on business needed, as well as the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment.

Including, trenching and excavation around critical utilities. Proficiency operating equipment around live utilities is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Haul heavy equipment and materials to and from worksites using tractor trailers.
Move equipment (excavators, backhoes, loaders, skid steers) up to 100,000 lbs.
Communicate with supervisors to confirm and deliver equipment and materials.
Comply with safety and transportation industry standards.
Help with other tasks as assigned and adapt to changing priorities.

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Class 1 Driver's License, own reliable vehicle, and clean abstract.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in the loading/unloading, securing and transporting a variety of heavy mobile equipment and materials.
Experienced and competent in operating Trackhoe, Backhoe, Excavator, Skid Steer and Loader.
Load securement and hours of service training certifications are preferred.
Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset.
