The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is the federal government agency responsible for
administering sentences of a term of two years or more, as imposed by the courts. CSC is
responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under
conditional release in the community.

Intent of the process:

This inventory is for casual employment which is a temporary employment of 90 working days

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or successful completion of a provincially / territorially approved
secondary school equivalency test, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or
experience.

Degree equivalency


EXPERIENCE
Experience using computer programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and electronic mail.
Experience cleaning in either commercial, multi residential or institutional environment.
Experience using and maintaining mechanical equipment.


KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of janitorial supplies, their use as well as handling and storage.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety.
Knowledge of cleaning equipment.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and/or procedures.
Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and practices.


ABILITIES
Ability to deal with multiple priorities
Ability to lift heavy objects while practicing proper safety procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively orally
Ability to communicate effectively in writing

Conditions of employment:

Reliability Status security clearance - Possession of a valid driver's licence that conforms to provincial or territorial requirements
Ability to life/move heavy objects up to 25kg using proper safety procedures
