$75,341- $90,409

There are two (2) full-time position available. 1 Day Position (7:00 am to 4 pm).

Evening Position (3.30 pm to 11.30 pm).

With a staff of 14,000, the Toronto Catholic is a dynamic school board and is seeking two (2) full-time positions for Building Performance Maintenance Supervisor.


CRITERIA FOR AN INTERVIEW ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Minimum three (3) year College Diploma in Facilities Management, Business Administration/Mechanical or Engineering Technology or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

Minimum two (2) years working experience in a supervisory role in school board operations, commercial real estate operations and or maintenance of commercial properties, construction/service industry

Knowledge of principles, practices, and methods used in public sector procurement and contract administration

Experience with project budgeting, monitoring, and oversight

Excellent interpersonal skills, along with effective written and verbal communication skills

Proven leadership experience and direct supervision of staff in a unionized environment

Proven customer service-related experience

Experience with building construction and operations

Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, fire and life safety systems

Knowledge of Building and Fire Code compliance requirements

Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act

Advanced computer skills in MS Office products and demonstrated ability to learn and utilize various computer software programs (e.g. SAP, work order software system etc.)

Ability to work under pressure in a fast
- paced environment

Ability to establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met

Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills

Must possess a valid driver's license and own vehicle available to use for travel primarily within the Greater Toronto Area (eligibility for mileage reimbursement)

Availability to work outside core office hours, as required


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Reporting to and under the direction of the Senior Manager of Building Performance Maintenance & Logistics, the primary function of the position is to supervise and oversee the day-to-day operations associated with the delivery of services performed by the maintenance trades staff and contractors.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible to schedule, reactive and preventative maintenance on the school board buildings, grounds, and infrastructure

Respond to incidents and notifying appropriate staff, supervisors and/or authorities as required

Resolve issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required

Coordinates and works cross functionally with the BAS, Energy Management and East/West Maintenance supervisors for the day-to-day operations of the maintenance trades and contractor functions within the GTA including identify efficiency and energy savings in building operations

Assist in preparing annual budget reports, and monitor the budget status regularly

Manage the daily processing and approval of work requests from the computerized maintenance system and update related records for work performed

Facilitate the purchase and allocation of materials and supplies for respective trades staff

Responsible for overseeing and verifying work of service providers for Preventative Maintenance in accordance with contract provisions

Reviews plans and specifications and assists in finalizing the development of specifications and scopes of work

Conducts cost analysis to ensure contract performance standards are met

Review and monitor invoices from contract providers before authorizing payment

Reviews submittals from contractors for compliance with contract documents; reviews and recommends actions on requests for information;
