Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a bus to transport passengers to their destinations
  • Follow predetermined routes and schedules
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the bus
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers
  • Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior
  • Conduct pretrip and posttrip inspections of the bus
  • Report any mechanical issues or accidents to the appropriate authorities
  • Communicate effectively with passengers and provide information as needed

Requirements:


  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to write and communicate effectively in English
  • Multilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are a plus
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to educate passengers on bus safety rules and regulations
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs and troubleshooting

Job Types:
Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 10 months

Part-time hours: per week


Salary:
$20.50 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

  • Retention bonus

  • In order to obtain a class B licence, an applicant must be at least 21 years old according to the Ministry of Transportation. Do you meet this criteria?
  • Are you available to drive split shifts which means driving students to school in the morning and driving them home again in the afternoon?
  • In order to gain a Class B licence, you must be able to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Screening Check through local police and pass a Criminal Background Check. Are you able to do both?
