The Opportunity
The Academic Administrator supports the Academic Manager and other members of the Fanshawe Toronto Academic Department.

Drawing upon excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the Administrator helps the team to deliver a world-class experience for international students.

The Administrator is detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to take initiative.

The incumbent is responsible for managing all administrative functions in the Academic Department, including reporting, logístical, and financial activities. The Administrator will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to execute all processes needed to support faculty.


Education/Experience required:

Undergraduate degree or diploma and at least 2 years' experience in an administrative setting.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently
  • Experience in a postsecondary education setting would be an asset
  • Essential Functions:_
  • Manage administrative function of the Academic office
  • Support administrative requirements of program director(s)
  • Manage annual reporting responsibilities for partners
  • Arrange for annual site audits and classroom observations
  • Manage payment process for contract instructors
  • Work with facilities to coordinate provision of space and physical assets
  • Work with Registrar's office on scheduling of classes, and with regards to commencement
  • Respond to faculty requests and connect them with appropriate resources
  • Manage relationship with textbook publishers
  • Support and/or manage extracurricular academic events
  • Keep proper records
  • Prepare and deliver updates and reports to the Dean and other colleagues
