Coast Spas, located in Langley, BC, is the lower mainland's premier Hot Tub and Home Recreation retailer, and we're currently looking to add an experienced Assistant Store Manager to our team Our work environment is friendly and fun, built on teamwork and great attitudes.


The Assistant Store Manager is a key leadership role within Coast Spas Lifestyles, managing the day-to-day retail operations and supervision of the store.

The Assistant Store Manager's role is focused on meeting and exceeding the store's monthly and yearly sales targets, supervising and coaching the team, inventory control, merchandising, and continually searching for new ways to improve streams of revenue.

As a member of the management team, they are required to open and close the store, handle customer queries and complaints, as well as provide independent leadership and decision making whenever senior management is not present.

The Assistant Store Manager leads by example in all aspects of their job, including but not limited to customer service, salesmanship, work ethic, initiative, teamwork, attendance, and dress code.

The Assistant Store Manager is a salaried position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, including some evening and weekend work.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Achieve and exceed targets for all KPI's, including but not limited to Spa sales, margin, deliveries/month.
  • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts, maintain inventory spreadsheets, and take lead on yearly inventory count.
  • Manager all aspects of patio/furniture category, from prebuys, to pricing, promotions, and custom orders.
  • Create store schematic, ensuring flow of traffic, relevant placement and groupings of spas, furniture, and other sales items.
  • Ensure both indoor and outdoor showroom spas are clean, and properly signed at all times.
  • Ensure all customer spa orders are paid in full and delivered with a sense of urgency.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and suggest adjustments to our business accordingly as needed.
  • Work directly with the General Manager to help identify opportunities to expand customer base and increase store traffic.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through a culture of service excellence.
  • Respond to customer concerns escalated through the Department Manager team.
  • Conduct regular Team meetings, fostering a culture of open communication.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure personal and Team compliance with all WCB, Worksafe, and any other applicable provincial health and safety legislation.

TEAM LEADERSHIP:


  • Assisting the General Manager in recruiting, training, orienting, supervising, and appraising new Team members.
  • Coaching, counseling, and where applicable, disciplining employees.
  • Deal with all issues that arise from staff and/or customers in the absence of Senior Management.
  • Regularly communicate with General Manager to discuss strengths, opportunities, and action plans of both store and staff.
  • Provide a strong leadership presence, leading by example in all aspects of personal conduct and follow through.
  • Continually seek out ways to personally improve and provide value, such as leadership courses, books, seminars, etc.
