Job description


We are currently looking for a self-motivated individual to become an integral part of our team at our Kingston distribution center.


Responsibilities:


  • Organizes picked ticket orders.
  • Pulls correct ordered items from the warehouse based on product description, location and manufacturer.
  • Prioritize cutting orders based on instructions indicated on picking tickets.
  • Understands how the order is processed from the time the product is received to the time it is shipped.
  • Ensures that orders are accurate.
  • Stage items correctly for cutting/delivery.
  • Safely operates load handling equipment and ensures regulations are followed.
  • Oversees stock replenishment or put away.
  • Uses stock control systems and processes specific orders.
  • Ensures warehouse goals are met.
  • Maintains a high level of health and safety standards.
  • Shrink wraps products to pallets.
  • Loads delivery vehicles.
  • Sweep and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other related duties and safety checks as required.
  • Daily inspection of a forklift and reach trucks.
  • Performs other general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:


  • Warehouse, production or general labour related experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Forklift/Reach truck Certification required.
  • First Aid, WHMIS Certification, preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills and experience with MS Office would be preferred.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks.
  • Write and read routine reports or job orders.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions, whether written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Maintain a high level of health and safety standards.
  • Organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are required.
  • Overtime may be required from time to time, depending on operational requirements.
