What you'll be doing

As a member of the Auto Finance Operations & Policy team, the Business Specialist, Initiatives and Process Optimization Co-op will work closely with the Directors and Group Product Managers on various initiatives designed to improve the operational effectiveness.  You will primarily support the development, Launch, and Continuous Improvement of Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Lists, MS Forms, Power BI, and Related Workflow Management & Reporting Tools.  You will drive continuous improvements through process improvements, documentation of processes and procedures, provide recommendations to streamline processes and help implementing solutions as applicable.  You will participate in the team's projects, contributing creative thinking and implementing improvements throughout.

How you'll succeed

Develop and Enhance Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Lists, MS Forms & Power BI Solutions - A significant emphasis will be placed on building and refining Power Apps and Power BI related workflow management and reporting tools:

  • Design, build, and deploy custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps to automate business processes and enhance productivity.
  • Create and maintain Microsoft Lists for effective data management, tracking, and collaboration.
  • Develop and configure MS Forms for data collection, feedback, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and optimize automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
  • Integrate Microsoft 365 tools (Power Apps, Lists, Forms) with other business systems and data sources as required.
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision making.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within all reporting and workflow solutions.
  • Monitor usage and performance of developed solutions, collecting feedback to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Implement updates, new features, and improvements based on evolving business needs and user input.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather requirements, define objectives, and translate needs into technical solutions.
  • Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to end-users for all developed tools and workflows.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to organizational policies, compliance standards, and best practices for data management and security.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all developed applications, workflows, and reports.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful and timely delivery of solutions.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership as required.

Process Optimization - A significant emphasis will be placed working with the Group Product Managers to optimize business processes.  You will:

  • Design/develop and improve business processes,
  • Create/update process maps in MS Visio & Centralize procedures/process flows.
  • Support tactics to improve operational efficiency and client satisfaction
  • Assess/recommend improvements to risk mitigation and control objectives, support in resolving issues/discrepancies.

Project Support - Actively participate in various business projects including research and presentation development.
