    Purchasing & Inventory Specialist

    Primary Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Supply Chain Specialist, the Purchasing & Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining supply inventory levels required for effective company operation. He/she will manage and oversee local and international purchases and maintain strong relationships with our vendors. As a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing raw & packing materials, conducting regular price comparisons to ensure the best price and value are obtained, and managing vendor relationships. Additionally, you will be sourcing for new vendors when needed based on the regular price comparison. This includes negotiating contracts, purchasing agreements, and prices with vendors while maintaining an open line of communication with those vendors.

    The Purchasing & Inventory Specialist will manage all client orders. This includes receiving client's POs, arranging trucking/shipment when needed for received POs, and keeping in contact with vendors to confirm and follow up on orders. He/she is expected to issue POs for raw & packing materials in a timely manner and follow up to establish and communicate timelines.

    Strong communication skills with vendors and additional stakeholders are required, particularly for purchasing functions. Three years of experience in the food industry is a must.

    The position requires an individual who can work in both a self-directed manner and within a team environment.
