Birnie Electric is an established electrical contractor operating in the Greater Toronto Area for more than 50 years. We are growing as a company and seeking an experienced Electrical Project Coordinator to join our team.

As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Project Manager on large scale electrical construction projects.

This role will require you to work at our job site in Richmond Hill primarily, and travel to our head office in Mississauga as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Support project manager and forepersons in tracking analysis and project forecasting.
Track, monitor, and analyze productivity data where applicable.
Track labour to support PM and payroll.
Assist in scheduling, site coordination, and commissioning efforts.
Assist with project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, and shop drawings.
Coordinate asbuilt drawing requests from field staff and PM with office and outside resources.
Answer sitespecific questions.
Review quotes, issue purchase orders with PM approval, and track deliveries.
Ensure compliance with safety requirements and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

23 years of experience as a Project Coordinator on ICI electrical projects.
Pervious Electrical estimating experience is an asset
Design-Build and Design-Assist project experience is an asset
Working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code Part I, II, and III.
Able to read shop drawings.
Experience with Accubid ChangeOrder, Jonas Construction, or similar software.
Valid G licence and access to a personal vehicle as limited travel within the GTA will be require
